We were delighted to host a Racing & Fashion Preview Evening with our newly appointed brand ambassador Camilla Henderson ahead of The Open race meeting at Cheltenham Racecourse on Thursday 10th November. The racing fraternity were out in force to as they arrived at Corse Lawn House in the Cotswolds to enjoy a champagne and canapés reception. With photos of famous racing personalities and winners adoring the walls of the charming country house, it provided the perfect setting to host the event.
Guests were invited to listen to Channel 4 racing presenter Gina Harding in conversation with Camilla Henderson – daughter of former champion trainer Nicky Henderson. The sartorially savvy pair talked through ‘what to wear’ at the races, giving their exclusive insight into what looks from the South West Ten collection paired perfectly for the season ahead, from The Open at Cheltenham to Royal Ascot. The fur lined parkas were voted the top pick for the winter jump racing season. Cheltenham Racecourse in particular is notoriously chilly so these provide a perfect style statement whilst keeping you warm! The South West Ten luxurious cashmere scarfs also proved a popular choice given how versatile a piece they are, to carry you through the seasons. Paired as successfully with a Chanel Tweed Suit in winter as they are with a Dolce and Gabbana dress in the summer - a designer favoured by the Duchess of Cambridge for Royal Ascot in the summer – making them the perfect investment piece.
Next to join the esteemed panel was Gold Cup winning jockey turned trainer Sam Thomas who went through his top tips for the weekends racing. The event raised £200 for the Injured Jockey Fund through a raffle which was won by the super glamorous Carla Kyle.
